Home PageTitans v. Rockets 1/26/2012![]() It was a tough loss last night at Howell Ice world for the New Jersey Junior Titans as they went head to head with their rivals the New Jersey Rockets, with the final score 3-2. The first goal of the game was early on in the first period during a Rockets’ power play. It was made by #91, Ryan Hitchcock, who as a sophomore in high school, is already committed to Yale University. In the second period the Rockets capitalized once again during the night’s second power play, as Hitchcock scored his second goal of the game. But in the last 20 seconds of the period, #22, David Ramos brought the Titans back into the game with their first goal, bringing a renewed hope to the team. After intermission, Titans came back strong in the third period with #17 William Dovenero scoring his 13th goal of the season. But soon after Ramos was sent to the penalty box on a four minute double minor, giving the Rockets time to strike. Within the penalty, #8 Daniel Willett found Hitchcock for his third power play goal of the night. This Hat Trick was his second against the Titans this season. Although #33 Jeff Holbrook played well in goal, the Titans couldn’t overcome the Rockets during their power play. Heading into their All-star weekend, the Titans will get the rest needed to get back on track and take on the New Jersey Renegades next Friday.
