NAPHL TRYOUTSThe New Jersey Junior Titans will be holding tryouts for our North American Prospects Hockey League teams in conjunction with our Tier 1 tryouts beginning April 3rd at Howell IceWorld. For the 2012-13 season the Titans will field teams at the U18, U16 and U14 levels of the NAPHL. Players rostered as Titans for the 2012-13 season are eligible for our NAPHL teams. For questions or more information regarding the Titans NAPHL program please contact George Haviland by email: havs11@aol.com. About the NAPHLThe PHL, which will be celebrating its fourth season in 2012-13, is composed of Midget Major (18U) and Midget Minor (16U) teams from across North America that compete at the Tier I AAA level. Even though the Bantam (14U) Division will not be supported in PHL league play, there will be Bantam ‘at-large’ tournaments that will be announced in the future. Having just completed its third season of competition, the PHL continues to establish itself as the premiere training ground for development and exposure. Not only have players in the PHL received year-long recognition from the NHL Central Scouting Bureau, dozens have received scholarships to NCAA Division I schools and hundreds more have been drafted and tendered by North American Hockey League (NAHL) and United States Hockey League (USHL) teams. The PHL is comprised of five regular-season events leading up to its Championship Tournament Series in which the top teams at each level compete for a league championship. The dates and sites of this year's five NAPHL regular-season events are:
September 13-16, 2012 (Blaine, Minnesota) October 19-22, 2012 (San Jose, California) November 30-December 3, 2012 (Blaine, Minnesota) December 27-31, 2012 (Frisco, Texas) January 18-21, 2013 (Troy, Michigan)
The PHL Championship Tournament Series will be held from February 15-18, 2013 at the Troy Sports Center in Troy, Michigan and in conjunction with the Combat Hockey/North American Hockey League (NAHL) Top Prospects Tournament and the 3HL Eastern Conference Showcase. The season culminates with the PHL Top Prospects Tournament in conjunction with the 2013 NAHL Robertson Cup Championship Tournament, which will be hosted by an NAHL organization May 3-5, 2013. The PHL, which is sanctioned by USA Hockey, utilizes the USA Hockey Officiating Development Program and is designed to maximize the exposure of all the participants through the NAHL's high-profile recruiting events which attract hundreds of college, junior and professional scouts. The PHL provides an organized and competitive experience with an unrivaled scouting presence guaranteed to benefit all of the participating student-athletes and programs. All USA Hockey-sanctioned PHL events deliver a four to five-game guarantee with game statistics powered in real time by Pointstreak, which integrates Web streaming and Flash replay. Pointstreak will also include each member club Web site on the NAPHL.com Network. Video of games will also be broadcast live over the Internet via FASTHockey through the league’s official Web site, NAPHL.com. All member clubs will also receive a license for Steva, a computer based, state-of-the-art game video editing program. The North American Hockey League (NAHL) office, which oversees, operates and manages the PHL, guarantees a scouting presence from NAHL teams to be in attendance at PHL events and uses an exclusive tendering system for PHL players only. The NAHL, which hosts a PHL Top Prospects Tournament at its Robertson Cup Championship Tournament, also uses its extensive marketing and media reach to promote the PHL, its programs and players through the league’s official Web site, NAHL.com, equipment supplier programs and award sponsors. ![]() Titan Players Tendered in NAHL The Titans would like to congratulate Matt Armenti of the Titans U18 NAPHL Team and Trevor Hueser of the U16 NAPHL team on being tendered in the NAHL.
